Offering you a safe environment is one of the most important aspects of my work. I see therapy as a place that can be a home away from home. Something like a sanctuary if you will. Free of judgement and instead a space for you not only to heal but also grow beyond your expectations. Therapy is team work. A therapist does not "fix you", but provides you with the tools to heal, grow and develop resilience. My goal for you - additionally to your goal - is independence and autonomy. In short, my goal is for me to become redundant. It might not sound like the next business model to some therapists, but to me, this is the ethical goal every therapist needs to subscribe to. There is nothing better than a good ending session knowing that you are where you want to be and have the tools and abilities to flourish in your life.
Let me begin by sharing my philosophy on therapy work. I do not believe in a "one fixes all" approach. You are unique, with your own needs, wants and experiences. I want to offer you that space to be who you want to be without putting you into a framework or box. My work is tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Therapy is team work where we both combine forces. It is co-created. You will find a safe, non-judgemental, empathic environment.
